Guest Writer's Week.

Well its been quite long since i uploaded a post. The fact is i couldn't think of anything interesting to Blog about.
Funny thing is i still cant figure out what to write about :p
Haven't been able to put pen to paper or more like fingers to keyboard :p okay not all of you might have understood that joke,
Just while i was talking to a friend of mine about this problem of not figuring out what to write about i came up with an idea. An idea which made me think about people who might have stuff to write about but never really took efforts or time out for it!
So i came up with the concept of  'Guest Writer's Week' .
For a week My bog will be the medium for people to share their story/post/article about what they find fascinating enough to write about.
All you got to do is THINK about a real interesting topic that you feel like writing about.
again THINK whether that's the topic you  really want to write about :p and just let the words flow :)
after you are finished with the story/article/post you gotta mail it to me along with a suitable Title for it and your name and a small message for your readers.

why would people post it via your blog, you ask?
well not everyone has their own blog and people never give blogging a full try although they should. so this way they can try out posting one post via this blog for a few more readers to read and hope to get a good feed back and then may be try starting their own blog.
This could be your first step towards developing your very own Blog. (trust me Blogging is fun)

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHILE WRITING:
1) Try Selecting an Interesting topic and also use pictures so that you get more than 2 viewers (2 includes the writer and me :p)
2) Try keeping the content humorous.(this helps in people liking you)
3) Try keeping the content clean and NON-VULGAR. (no vulgar stories or cheap jokes will be entertained cause honestly! you never know in a country like ours who might take offence to that :p)
4) And last: pour your heart out and hope more than 2 viewers like it :p

So try taking out some time from your busy routine lives and try your hand at writing.

NOTE-even if you do participate in this activity or not you gotta comment on the articles you read and give the writers a Feed Back on their efforts and encourage them. this way everyone can get reviews for the stuff they have written.
Also please try spreading the word to all your friends and do insist them to take part in this Initiative.

To Participate:
Email: meet.shah2611@gmail.com
for any queries and posting your story/article/post send a mail anytime within 15th Sept 2015- 22nd Sept 2015.
Hoping and looking forward for a positive response and healthy participation. :D
So go get writing ;)

The Travel Dream.

How many of you have that travel bug inside you!? I am sure quite a few especially after Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani gave the push to people :p well I have had the bug inside me for quite a few years now. Some people like to go on holiday trips, some on vacations and some just want to wander from here and there trying to explore the world. Well of course most of us cannot live those dreams cause of family responsibilities, work commitments and majorly cause just like me you just have your pockets filled with dreams and no money :p well what do you do in such situations?!
People who want to just travel will do what they love and not think about much other things. For them just enough money for getting them from one place to another is more than sufficient. They don't need to save for the future nor do they need to worry about it. People often categorise them as 'Gypsies' or  'Hippie' which are both wrong terms to use as they are more of a tribe and culture and not adjectives :p
I personally have traveled to quite a few places and explored a few destinations but all holiday trips none the less FUN! I believe key to a good travel no matter what type of travel,is good company! When you have a real good company it's suddenly not about the destination that you are going to see but the journey of how you reach there! The journey will leave you with a lot of amazing memories, and sometimes some people who might change your life forever! I have always had the pleasure of having the best company that I could possibly ask for while on such trips!
a%252520Himachal%252520Pradesh%252520morning

And it was during these trips that I fell in love with the process of travel and exploring new things!

Amongst the places I have visited I personally din't expect myself to fall so much in love with Orrissa and Kerala! Both having a huge and beautiful culture to explore! I came across quite a few "hippie" types of ppl :p on my frequent trips to Goa(we all have those don't we? :p) and the Land of the Gods..Himachal Pradesh! And I told myself that "one day I am gonna live this dream! And not just visit places but to live there and explore them and move onto some other place!"
But again that brings me back to where I started about having no money :p
I recently got in touch with a famous travel blogger Siddhartha Joshi..check out his site http://www.sid-thewanderer.com..I exchanged a few emails asking for guidance as to where and how to start..him being very gentle and quite actively replied to help me out and all he could say was..In the initial phase you have to work some job and save money to kick start your dream and then maybe choose the obvious ways to make money by travel writing  or selling travel photographs..but most important thing which he had to say was to just get out and explore and share your stories! The money will follow later on!
People do all kinds of stuff to sustain their travel plans! Savings, backpacking, blogging, talent shows, join some organisation that deals in the travel field. Also there are options available to teach English courses in different countries, organic farming volunteer work etc.
Me being an immense lover of music have come across certain musicians majorly guitarists who perform on the streets,it's called Busking..and they collect whatever money they get to travel.
Check out Marcello Calabrese busking some famous covers. And also have a look at traveler/songwriter/musician Owen Campbell in his audition for Australia's got talent.

This is the kind of passion that's needed to fulfil your travel dream! Money is just secondary!

Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller. Cheers! ;)

Passion or Profession?!

Its been what? 3 years since my last post! and on public demand I am Back. well not really the public demand but cause i have lots of time to kill :p and the reason being unemployment.
Dont we all have that phase, that time in our lives where we have no fucking clue as to what now?
"yeh toh kar liya! ab aage kya?"
i have decided to write about the one of the biggest dilemma in life which i am sure most of you will agree to have had at one point of time!

whether to follow your Passion or to pursue some Profession!

lucky are those who can and have combined and made their passion their profession!
Not all of us are from those few. so we gotta make a choice. A choice thats gonna define who we will be in the future and what kind of a life are we gonna lead.
People often think of having a passion for travel, music, writing, cooking, etc. But do all of us have what it takes to follow your passion? cause lets face it the pay for a newbie in any such creative(or non creative) field isnt the one that can give you a lifestyle that you may want. maybe that is the reason why people choose to take a job or run some commercial business and try to secure a good and comforting future. There is nothing wrong in doing so. infact i think it takes a lot of courage to give up on your dreams and follow something else. some do it for the money some for family and some for both.
you keep convincing your self that someday you are going to quit everything and chase that dream of yours! live that passion of yours but more often than not..you dont!
some people live their lives happily with the path they chose and some people live filled with regrets!
regret of not quitting that job and traveled the world! regret of not taken time for music lessons! regret of not cooking for others!
regret of not writing something that touched their lives!

I personally think that everyone has to choose between these two in their lives and trust me its never too late to change your choice ever! if you have chased your passion long enough there always time to settle down and the same for getting of your asses and do what you love!

i mean why do we have to live like others have! people always say that 20-30 is the age of setting a career and its very difficult to jump between careers after that! TRUE! you may have double the responsibilities double the pressure but there is never any rule against it! no one knows what they want to do in life, what to do with their life! thats when motivational posters like the one from left comes to help :p  you try out different things, learn from your mistakes and then eventually someday you figure it out! life is just run on Trial and Error base.
my advice would be that whatever profession you work..you gotta find the passion and if you really cant then there should be no harm in quitting and finding it somewhere else! everyone should have the freedom to do it and more importantly everyone should have the friggin guts to do it.
Many people like me i am sure are uncertain about what road to take ahead no matter at what age they are.
people often say that uncertainty is bad in life! i say if you arent uncertain how will you try new things out?
and never to think that your passion for something is not worth following cause you may not be good at it or you wont be able to pursue it cause remember "People who are Crazy enough to think they can change the world..Are the Ones who Actually do" -Steve Jobs (probably the best quote from the shitty Jobs movie :/ but i ll control my feelings about such shitty movies:p )

so be Uncertain, be Passionate and Live your dream while your still alive!

untill next time then ;)

Mumbai Rains

Its september, the end of the rainy season but in mumbai rains start at this time of the year. And the same has happened. its been raining quite heavily in the past few days.
cant complaint about the climate or the weather cause both of it is cool and pleasent.
but however as much as mumbaikars love the climate and rains they hate it when they are busy with some work.
when people are stuck at office or school or college they dont like it when it rains.."aaj saala phir traffic mein fasenge"
but when they are at home doing nothing and it starts pouring even little bit half of the crowed rushes to Marine Drive or Lonavala or Banstand.
people here complaint about the traffic floods or delays but on the other hand they do enjoy the little things while stuck in rains.
the most effect of heavy rains is seen on the local railways which is never on time in Mumbai but during rains its even delayed by a larger scale.
during rains people usually avoid going to places like milan subway, kurla, ghatkopar, bandra even if its most important for them to be there cause they all know that those areas are public swimming pools during rains.
and instead of doing what is important people take the time off and go to beaches or water sided places.
Say whatever you want but Mumbaikars are very fond of rains even if there are floods, accidents whatever..people here love the rains.
hope that it rains very well and people keep on taking it as sportingly as they do now in the upcoming years!

Cheers :D

Exam Fever

Exam Fever is usually defined as the preparation time that is given before the exam. I like to define it as the various types of fever i get during exams so as to avoid studying :p
A normal University of Mumbai student would never exactly know the dates of the semister exams (at least commerce student).
Top 10 things people usually do during Exams:
1.Ask the time table to friends
2. Buy Text books and other books to show your parents
3. Watch as many Movies,Sitecoms,Serials as you can
4. Go early to sleep planning that you would wake up early to study
5. Snooze the alarm by every 5 mins till next 1 hour
6. Get up and get ready fast cause you are already late for your exam
7. Try studying on your way to college but get distracted by the outer world which seems so interesting and
fascinating suddenly after the entire semister
8. Reach your class room and realise its too late to study anyway so go and annoy other friends by saying
"Padh ke kiska bhala hua hai?!"
9. Write whatever you know in the paper/Stare at your friends what they are writing
10. Leave the class room and say "saala joh class mein padhaya usmein se kuch bhi nai aya" and then assure
yourself that you will study for the next exam but the same cycle continues..

This is how it generally goes during exam period. Even now i know my exams are coming near so i ll sign off and go to study..Just kidding i am sure something or the other will keep me entertained. Adios.
